Dating Truths and Dating Lies

Okay.

I think people make dating more complicated than it really is. Seriously.

Why is it that all  BYU students seem to be under the impression that asking a girl or boy on a date is like making an eternal commitment?

And also, why do young 13-year-old LDS kids think that going on a date is NOT okay, but having a boyfriend/girlfriend is?

Why are there more single people in all of BYU  than in one Jr. High classroom?(Okay, that's a bit of an exaggeration, but still...)

Okay, friends. Dating is worth comprehending.  Like many things in life, there are appropriate times, places, and methods to dating.

You shouldn't start doing push-ups in the middle of a testimony meeting.

But that doesn't mean you should never do push-ups. Doing push-ups is  great to stay healthy, happy, and fit!

Likewise, it's probably unwise to be making kissy faces at someone when you are in 5th grade. (I'm not in 5th grade, by the way)

Sooooo...dating is a fun sorta fairy tale in life. BUT, only if you date WHEN, WHERE, WHY, and HOW you ought to.

Got it?
I thought so.
